Dr. A provides compassionate care for clients seeking mental health support, leadership expertise for organizations in need of direction, and wisdom for young professionals seeking supervision, mentorship and coaching. Her unique narrative-informed approach to transformation cultivates safe space for people to explore their histories, ask hard questions, and experience change.

Dr. A enjoys working with clients who are ready to live into a new chapter of their lives.  Her interests include helping clients who are facing depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma recovery/PTSD, pregnancy loss, marital conflict, communication difficulties with family and/or at work, identity crises, spiritual crises, and/or improving work-life harmony.  She especially welcomes clergy, young people, and those who feel unseen.  She is an ally of the LGBTQIA community and those who have experienced deep pain and/or rejection within their religious/faith communities.

Dr. A's commitment to personal and professional growth are evident in her extensive educational background, which includes a wide variety of academic disciplines (chemistry, literature, theology, and counseling).  She brings this love for learning and learners to her work as a supervisor for clergy and counselors preparing to become Fee-Based Practicing Pastoral Counselors in North Carolina. She offers individual and group supervision at affordable rates and welcomes practitioners from all spiritual perspectives.

In her work as an educator, pastor, nonprofit leader, and therapist, Dr. A has witnessed the systemic oppression of people from various backgrounds.  Her own experience as a Black woman from the deep south also informs her commitment to advocacy and justice in both private and public spaces.  She continues to champion justice in her work as a local pastor, community advocate, and thought leader. Call today to begin pushing the needle forward to transform your organization into a welcoming, inclusive, justice-oriented safe for everyone.

Client Review

"We engaged BeSpeak Solutions, Inc. for a university strategic initiative focused on diversity, and our experience was excellent. From the first conversation, Dr. Agard was receptive and helpful to clarify and determine our next steps. She listened with intention to who we are, and created a process that resonated with our community in order for us to hear and learn from the stories of our students. We are grateful to Dr. Agard and BeSpeak Solutions, Inc. for their investment in the Campbell community through a process of discernment and transformative conversations on diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and Christian witness."
